LK Domain Registration Discount Program Terms & Conditions

1. Domain Registration Services

LankaHost provides .lk domain registration services through our partnership with the LK Domain Registry. All domain registrations are subject to the policies and procedures of both LankaHost and the LK Domain Registry.

2. LK Domain Discount Policy

2.1 Purpose of Discount Program

LankaHost offers LK domains at subsidized rates below the standard LK Domain Registry pricing. This discount is provided at our own cost as a value-added service to customers who maintain an ongoing relationship with LankaHost for their hosting and domain management needs.

2.3 Misuse of Discount Program

If LankaHost determines that a customer has registered domains primarily to obtain discounted pricing with the intention of transferring elsewhere, this constitutes misuse of the discount program. In such cases, LankaHost reserves the right to charge the customer the difference between:

• The standard LK Domain Registry rate that would have applied at the time of registration, and
• The discounted rate actually paid to LankaHost

2.5 Cost Recovery Implementation

• Customers will be notified in writing of any cost recovery charges
• Payment terms will be Net 30 days from invoice date
• Customers may appeal charges by providing evidence of legitimate business reasons for domain transfers

2.6 Policy Exceptions

This cost recovery policy does not apply to:

• Transfers occurring more than 12 months after initial registration
• Transfers due to LankaHost service discontinuation or technical issues
• Customers who maintain active hosting services with LankaHost

3. General Terms

3.1 Domain Ownership

Upon successful registration and payment, the customer becomes the legal owner of the domain name, subject to the terms and conditions of the LK Domain Registry and these terms.

3.2 Payment Terms

All domain registration fees must be paid in advance. Domains are registered only after successful payment processing.

3.3 Renewal Policy

Domain renewals are the customer's responsibility. LankaHost will send renewal notices but is not responsible for domains that expire due to non-renewal.

3.4 Transfer Policy

Domain transfers to other registrars are permitted subject to the LK Domain Registry transfer policies and the discount policy outlined above.

3.5 Refund Policy

Domain registration fees are generally non-refundable once the domain has been successfully registered with the registry.

4. Customer Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep contact information updated
• Comply with LK Domain Registry policies
• Use domains in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
• Renew domains before expiration

5. LankaHost Rights and Limitations

• Right to suspend or cancel domains for policy violations
• Right to modify pricing and policies with appropriate notice
• Limited liability for service interruptions or technical issues
• Right to implement cost recovery measures as outlined in the discount policy

LankaHost reserves the right to modify this policy with 30 days written notice to customers. Continued use of our services after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
